Spirit of Utopia at Whitechapel Gallery

From 4 July – 5 September 2013, I took part in an exhibition as one of six potters featured in 'Soul Manufacturing Corporation' by Theaster Gates. It was part of a larger exhibition called 'The Spirit of Utopia' at Whitechapel Gallery, London. It involved whole days of continuously throwing porcelain eating and drinking vessels and making house bricks by hand in the traditional way. All of this as an installation with a specially set up pottery workshop located in the middle of the main gallery space. It was interesting, great fun and good practice to participate in Gates' comment on craft, labour/production, community and working conditions.

Vào đọc thấy họ viết kiểu dễ nuốt, đi từ khái niệm cơ bản rồi giải thích tỷ lệ kèo như con số thể hiện khả năng xảy ra của một kết quả, nên đọc lướt vẫn bắt kịp. Mình cũng thích cách họ chia đoạn và đặt tiêu đề rõ, không nhồi chữ dài ngoằng nên mắt đỡ mệt. Không cần ngồi nghiền ngẫm vẫn nắm được ý chính, kiểu dành cho người mới tìm hiểu là hợp.
